[00:00:00] Throughout the month of March, I've been running a small email sprint. Eight women, four weeks. One very clear focus, and I didn't expect this, but the way this container has felt, the energy, the momentum, the results has genuinely shifted how I'm thinking about my business right now, not just what I teach, but how I deliver it.
[00:00:23] So today I'm gonna take you behind the scenes, what actually happened inside, what surprised me, what worked better than I expected. And why? I think shorter, more focused containers right now might be the direction I keep moving in. Let's dive in.
[00:00:39] Are you a female business owner frustrated with battling the algorithm and looking for growth strategies that don't involve awkwardly pointing or dancing online or throwing cash at paid ads? Welcome to the email growth show. I'm your host, Kylie Kelly, visibility and email marketing strategist. I grew my email list [00:01:00] from zero to almost 10,000 subscribers in less than two years, and the same is possible for YouTube.
[00:01:06] Are you ready to build your email list and start making more money in your online business? Let's head into today's episode. Hey, hey, welcome back to the email growth show. I am really excited you are here.
[00:01:20] Today's actually the final day of some extended support inside of my email incubator. So this ran all through March and then I actually decided to extend support additional two weeks or so into April, just to give everyone space to learn things properly. And I've been reflecting on it a lot this week because I've run a lot of programs, I've run longer masterminds, memberships, Ongoing containers, but this felt different. Not louder, not bigger. Just cleaner, more focused, more alive. And I think that's what I wanna talk about today, because I think it's not just about this worked. I think it's about why it [00:02:00] worked. So let me set the scene for us first. So what was the email incubator?
[00:02:04] So this was a four week sprint, a small group, just eight women, and the focus was very intentional. It wasn't let's cover everything about email marketing. It wasn't let's overwhelm you with strategies and templates and systems. It was literally, let's get you set up, let's get you sending, let's build a rhythm and let's create actual momentum.
[00:02:25] And I think that distinction matters so much because a lot of programs try to do too much, and when you try to do too much, people actually do less. So you have a really clear understanding. I wanna just tell you what was included. So In week one, we did email deliverability set up to make sure everybody was landing in the inbox we talked about their free resource, made sure that it was clear and it was actually optimized to convert and attract the right people to their list.
[00:02:51] Week two, we moved into their sending rhythm and structure what emails to actually send, and we created their start here email, which is an email that I actually [00:03:00] use instead of a welcome sequence. Week three, we then talked about sales emails And how we can sell to our email list in a way that is subtle, but feels really natural and converts well.
[00:03:10] and then we wrap the whole intensive up in week four where we talked about list growth. How can you come up with a plan to grow this email list in a way that feels really good for you? So the trainings, there were short little video trainings, 10, 15 minutes with any supporting tools that they might need.
[00:03:25] I made a couple custom GPTs for them, things like that, that would make implementing it really easy. And then at the end of the week, we had a live q and a call where they could also then bring their questions so that I could answer them and make sure that they were all staying on track for the month.
[00:03:39] So it worked really well. So what actually happened inside? and this is the part I really wanna slow down on, because from the outside it might just have looked like, oh yeah, they learned about email. But inside there was a movement, like there was a real movement.
[00:03:52] I watched these women send emails that they'd been overthinking for months. Finally write and send their start here. Email, get [00:04:00] replies from their list. Sometimes for the very first time, start thinking about sequences and selling in a much clearer way and begin to understand how their emails could connect to their offers.
[00:04:10] what I loved the most was how these questions. Right at the start, the questions were, is this right? Am I doing this properly? What should I say? But by the end, the questions very much became like, how do I refine this? What about this click rate? How could I improve that open rate? How do I turn this into a sequence?
[00:04:29] That shift that is pure confidence, and you could literally see it happening inside the space. Even in the Skool post, you could see people showing progress, asking for feedback, Celebrating all the wins. Building on what they'd done the week before. That is not passive learning.
[00:04:46] That is momentum in action, right? They were learning, they were implementing, and of course, because of that momentum, they were seeing results I have to say the energy inside this container is something that's a little bit harder to [00:05:00] explain, but I think you know exactly what I mean, but it felt really active.
[00:05:04] People weren't just sitting back waiting for the next training. That is often how it feels when you do have a membership or a bigger program. They're just waiting for the trainings to drop, right? This wasn't that at all. Instead, I saw them taking action, testing, adjusting, coming back with questions, and I think that's one of the biggest differences between learning environments like a membership, like a course actual implementation environments, right?
[00:05:29] Most programs are designed for learning, but this container that I decided to run was designed for movement, for implementation, for actually taking action. And the thing that I loved most or like maybe the biggest shift that I noticed, the part that really surprised me is that momentum happened really quickly.
[00:05:48] Not perfectly, but fast. And I know that we underestimate how powerful that is because when somebody takes action, quickly, sees a response, tweaks and adjusts it, and then does it again, they start to trust themselves, [00:06:00] which I'm a big believer in That self-trust muscle is the most important thing that we have in our arsenal in our businesses.
[00:06:07] It's a part of ourselves. It's everything, and this is where everything then changes because confidence isn't built through learning more information. It's built through seeing yourself follow through, taking action. Then regardless of what the outcome is, You build that identity as the woman who takes action as the woman who follows through as a woman, that gives it a go.
[00:06:28] And over time, oh, that is a difference maker between some people succeeding and some people veiling. Like that changes everything. So that was the biggest win that I saw from the group. Personally. Now, why did four weeks work so well? So I've been asking myself this a lot. Why did it feel so effective? And I think it comes down to a few deeper things. Number one, it forced focus. There was no room for distraction. No, I'll get to it later.
[00:06:54] No jumping between strategies. It was literally, this is what we are focusing on this week. I need to take [00:07:00] action. I need to get it done. And that kind of constraint is actually really freeing because. If you think about it, when everything matters, nothing gets done. We just get overwhelmed, right? But when there's just one thing to focus on, when there's just one thing that matters, Like we can do that one thing, right? So it forced focus. Number two, it really created urgency and not like fake urgency. Not like can't close this to my energy, but real grounded urgency. There are four weeks, you have me in your back pocket for the next four weeks. So they moved, they didn't sit on things, they didn't overthink things for months, they.
[00:07:37] Got things done so they could get my eyes on it, they could get me to review it, they could ask me the questions because they knew they had four weeks. Like there was an actual real sense of urgency, which was really, really powerful. It also reduced overwhelm. So this is huge because overwhelm doesn't come from lack of knowledge.
[00:07:53] It comes from too many options, right? and in this email incubator, it was simple. Here's what to do. [00:08:00] Go and do it. Come back to me and then we can refine it. Like that was it. and keeping it that simple made it really easy for them to take action. And then the last piece that I think made it work really well is that, like I just mentioned about the self-trust identity, it did build these women's identity, not just a skillset.
[00:08:18] And this is something that I think about a lot Because I always want the women in my world, not just to be women that learn about email marketing. I want them to be women that send emails, women that follow through, women that take action because that identity shift is everything.
[00:08:33] Remember, you don't get results from what you know. You get results from the action that you take and who you become. So this combination of these four things made this four weeks so fucking powerful. and reflecting back on it, I'm not surprised that the women inside of this space saw so much movement, got so much done, experienced some really great wins, and set themselves up for fucking incredible 2026, I'm not surprised. [00:09:00] So. As we wrap this up a little bit, I wanna share something a little bit more personal and what this has changed for me because I've been sitting with this thinking like. What do I actually want my business to feel like? And if I'm honest, longer containers have started to feel a bit heavy.
[00:09:15] There's been more calls, more content, more holding space, at the moment, in this season of life, we all have life going on, right? But I've got the two little kids. I've got some health challenges going on with my mother-in-law. I've also got some other challenges going on with my dad.
[00:09:29] Life feels heavy and my capacity to hold isn't what it was even 12 months ago. So this four week sprint, it felt really fun. It felt really light. It was focused, it was clear, and I could close the loop on it, right? it actually had an end date in mind.
[00:09:46] So even if there were times that I felt stretched, I knew that in four weeks it would be closed, right? I think any of us if we are in a moment where we're feeling stretched, and most of it was fun, of course, but like when I was reviewing heaps of [00:10:00] things and I might not have had all the time in the world, or had things going on personally.
[00:10:03] when you know that there's that deadline or that end date, it makes it easier to just work late, right? To just get it done because it's not this never ending thing. So. Something else that I realized in this sprint is that transformation actually doesn't need more time. It just needs more direction.
[00:10:20] So rather than signing up for a 12 month program, or something that is this longer period of time, It doesn't need that for the transformation to happen. It just needs direction and action. Right. You can get just as much done in a four week sprint as you can get in a longer program if you have direction and if you are taking action, which was such a cool thing to realize.
[00:10:40] And I don't think that this is just about me. So when I think about what I experienced being the host of this incubator and what the ladies experienced coming into it with me, I actually think that. If we look at the industry as a whole, this is happening more broadly, right? Like people don't want longer programs, endless content [00:11:00] libraries.
[00:11:00] Months of I'll get to it, super long trainings. I have a mentor that I absolutely love. She's become a friend and she often does these q and a calls that go for hours. She has a really big audience so that she has a lot of questions coming in, but they'll go for three and a half hours as the. Person trying to watch something like that.
[00:11:17] I can't get through that amount of content. Like I can't, I can't. So again, thinking about. What do people want in this day and age with the busy lives that we have with the world on fire? So it feels sometimes thinking about your ideal clients, like what do they actually want? Most of the time the answer will be they want clarity, they want momentum, and they want results that they can feel.
[00:11:38] They want tangible results. They want it in a way that fits into their life, not something that takes over it. So I would love for you to reflect on that. Think about the offers that you have. Not saying that a four week incubator like this is your answer. Your answer might still be a course or a program.
[00:11:55] But think about like, okay. My ideal client, would this fit into their life? Like, [00:12:00] is this something that they want or can I tweak it? Can I condense it? Can I change the way I deliver it to make it even easier for them to say yes,
[00:12:07] So my final thought for you, so if you have been feeling a little bit stuck, or if you are feeling like things are taking longer than they should, I want you to consider this. It might not be you, it might be the structure or the container that you are inside. Because the right container, the right offer, doesn't just support you, it propels you forward.
[00:12:27] And that is exactly what this Sprint did for the incredible eight women that were a part of it. So after running this, I know I'm gonna be doing another round, and I'm so bloody excited for it. So I'm looking at kicking this off again in May,
[00:12:39] but before that, I wanna run a free challenge inside my Skool community on the 27th of April. So if you've been listening to this thinking, Hmm, I want that kind of momentum, I want you to start there. Come into the school group. The link is in the show notes, come into the free challenge.
